Tickets are now available for The Bronx at Rescue Rooms!
Formed in LA, 2002, The Bronx are an iconic punk-rock band with a distinctive 00’s sound. With six studio albums to their name, the band also had three albums under their alternative name Mariachi El Bronx to which they make mariachi music. When they join us at Rescue Rooms, it’ll be to celebrate their 20th Anniversary of their first album ‘The Bronx (I).
They created their own label under the name of ‘White Drugs’ for their first few releases. The Self-titled debut album was produced by Gilby Clarke, who also produced major rock band Guns N Roses. Following on from this they toured the US and Australia in support of the album.
In 2016 original drummer Jorma Vik left the band to join Eagles of Death Metal, with Mariachi drummer Hildago, Jr. replacing him. Queens Of The Stone Age member Joey Castillo replaced initial drummer Hildago, Jr. in 2018. However Hildago, Jr. remains drummer for the mariachi creative pursuits of the band.
Their latest album release to date titled ‘VI’ with groove-laced rock music throughout.
“We had to prove to ourselves that we could do it. A lot of people tripped out on the nastiness of the recording, but it captured that moment in time perfectly. However, this new album was more about making a big, badass rock record and having fun.”
