If you swung in at all this past month, it’s more then likely you’ll have seen our back bar stocked with donation tins and tubs!
For those of you that weren’t aware, here at Rescue Rooms and Stealth we’ve been working in conjunction in conjunction with a group of Nottingham Trent University students in aid of the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre. (http://www.rescuerooms.com/blog/206-movember-john-van-geest-cancer-research-centre)
Our bartenders have been crushing, muddling, shaking and pouring hundreds of super sweet strawberry and orange Mojitos over the last few weeks, and you’ve certain dug deep in the name of the JVG charity (we’re sure a few sore heads were had along the way!).
And as the month reaches its climax, we’re absolutely over the moon to announce final figures of…
over £1160!!
all of which will be donated by the students to the fantastic people at the Jon Van Geest centre.
Group organiser and Trent student Katy Waterfield said: “The John van Geest Cancer Research unit have discovered a new drug that is currently in clinical trials, that not only treats prostate cancer, but kills it completely. The incredible amount of money will be put toward these trials”.
She continued, “The Rescue Rooms and Stealth were so generous and enthusiastic supporting this campaign and helping it make a complete success!”
From all of us here at Rescue Rooms and Stealth we want to extend a massive THANK YOU!
