The Japanese House aka Amber Bain will be here on November 1st for what we expect to be an excellent gig, and she’s just released a brand new video for ‘Face Like Thunder’, which you can check out here:

When we spoke to The Japanese House (aka Amber Bain) back in August, she stressed the importance of the androgyny and ambiguity in her vocals. “I like that my voice is androgynous. By taking away a person’s identity, all that you have to focus on is the music and I quite like that idea.”
On ‘Face Like Thunder’, Bain’s voice is as human and as honest it’s ever been, and showcases the limits she can push it to but still retain her forward thinking pop sound. There’s still her stunning vocal gymnastics, but you get a sense that with each release we see more of who Amber is, all while staying wickedly mysterious and intriguing.
Today she shares the video for the single which you can watch below, in anticipation of her new EP ‘Swim Against The Tide’, due on November 11 via Dirty Hit.
